  Sunnyside has been amazing for our son, and our daughter will be starting there soon as well! We can't say enough great things about Sunnside; from the thoughtful and caring teachers, to the friendly and supportive staff, to the community of parents that we've met in this co-operative environment, Sunnyside has lived up to and exceeded our expectations in nurturing our son. The school, and its director, run a very tight ship. Everything is organized and scheduled, and within that the children flourish. Our son could both explore and try things at his own pace while also learning when it is time to focus, engaging with his friends and classmates, and even sitting and doing collaborative work. He even worked for a week on a presentation to his classmates, narrating at the easel with us in attendance, and doing q&a! I can't tell how many times he has come home excited about what he's done that day, telling us how proud he is when he accomplished something new. And the teachers... it was so nice and refreshing to have teachers that wanted to check in, wanted to give you updates, and did so often along with periodic structured reports. Seeing his progress and growth in this environment has been a real pleasure. Thank you Sunnyside!

  When we first started looking into preschools for our daughter, I contacted a trusted friend to inquire about Sunnyside. Her first response was, "It's magical!" Two years later, our daughter has just finished preschool at Sunnyside and we couldn't agree more. She had such a wonderful time there and formed close friendships with a wonderfully diverse group of children. She had caring teachers, learned a great deal about getting along with others and built excellent self-confidence.
